In the heart of Ouezzane province, specifically within the Ain Beida community, an inspiring success story has unfolded, led by rural women who defied challenges to achieve financial independence and professional excellence. The journey began in 2011 with the founding of Al-Huda Women's Cooperative, which evolved from a simple idea to add value to olive oil into a robust economic and social institution comprising 30 female members.

Under the leadership of Zahra El Haboussi, a dedicated farmer and community activist, the cooperative successfully transitioned from traditional, informal sales to a structured business model. Through strategic partnerships and international developmental support, the cooperative secured the ONSSA health certification and Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status. This recognition has elevated their Extra Virgin Olive Oil, allowing it to compete in prestigious international fairs in Germany and France.

The cooperative's impact extends beyond olive oil production. It has diversified into creating natural soaps infused with medicinal and aromatic herbs sourced from local forests, as well as distilling essential oils. This diversification ensures a steady income for the women throughout the year, transcending the seasonal nature of the olive harvest.

Al-Huda Women's Cooperative is more than just a commercial venture; it is a lifeline for many young women, including university graduates like Soukaina Alawi, who found a platform to hone her marketing and communication skills. Today, Al-Huda stands as a testament to resilience, proving that when Moroccan olive oil is coupled with ambition and modern standards, it can reach global horizons and transform lives in the rural heartlands.
